POCKET PILLOWS Easy Knit Hint for all those old yarn scraps: This idea came from my mother, 30 years ago. She had lots of leftover yarn from previous projects--all the same fiber content--so she made a "hobo" afghan for our son. All she did was knit until she ran out of one color, then she added the next color and kept right on going. When she added the new yarn, she left the "strings" long and let them hang instead of working them in. The result was a fun, boyish, shaggy afghan that our son loved for years.
