Play
It's Your Turn
This month's feature play site is It's Your Turn. This is a very simple, straight-forward site for playing traditional games, like checkers, chess, and backgammon, against online opponants. Simple signup allows you to choose the games you want to play, then matches you with other members who have chosen the same game. There's nothing to download. Graphics are simple, so you don't need any fancy viewers or high-speed connections, either. If you're on an old, slow, dialup connection (like I am) you can still play these games, easily.

These are not real-time games. This site is based on email. You and your opponants can have up to 30 days to make a move.

Work

Our Work Online/Work From Home site review this month is
SFI (Strong Future International).

This is NOT a promotional link for an affiliate program. I am a member, but they require the purchase of about $30 to become an affiliate and promote their program, which I have not done.

The reasons I'm directing you to this site are:

1) They offer an extensive, structured, FREE training program, that can teach you a whole lot even if you decide against working with them.

2) They have a versatile product line, so you can get a good idea of what products sell well on the Internet.

3) This company has an excellent reputation online. If this is your cup of tea, you can sign up with confidenc. If not, you won't get ripped off or exploited.

Learn

Free-Ed.net
All I can say is WOW! This site has a lifetime of free education on everything you can think of from Aerodynamics to Windows.

Categories include academic subjects (algebra, Englich compositione, etc.), vocational courses (Electricity, Automotive, etc.), business (bookkeeping, economics), and PC topics. They also offer courses in older computer software and operating systems--perfect for someone new to computers, but inherited an old machine.

Not only are they all free, but there's no hype to wade through and everything current.
